I'll be there but I doubt anyone will know me.

For what it worth this club started with 14 members at our first official meeting. My original membership card number was 003.

Sean Blankenship was the person responsible for the formation of this club and should be supported in any way possible (Emerald bay fish and reptile.)

Hoping you are all having fun in this club.

See you on the 10th. Try to pick me out, it will be fun to see who does. :)

Just posted this, and laughed out loud at seeing I just joined today.

Thanks to those who made it out today for the meeting. Thanks to Mike and Connie for the pizza and thanks to Mark Callahan for presenting today, was a very informational presentation.

Thanks for making MTRC what it is.

Thank you to the MTRC BOD for today's meeting. I enjoyed the presentation as always. Thank you to our guest speaker, Mark Callahan(aka Mr Saltwater Tank) for your informative presentation and for your time. I quarantine my fish but never considered it important for my coral. Some good points were brought up that have me rethinking my current habits. Thank you gentlemen for your time and effort.

Thank you Richard Schmidt for arriving as well. I spotted you but had to sneak out before I could talk to you. Thank you for your continued support to MTRC.
Thank you to Mike and Connie for the pizza!!!
And thank you to all the others that joined us. It was good to see some familiar faces that we haven't seen in quite some time.

B. Knapp kicked the meeting off with our routine rundown of the total numbers and a recap of last months meeting.
MTRC members is now up to 99 paid members and 10 supporting sponsors.
Introduce November's meeting. 2-part dosing. Location will be at the La Quinta Inn in Smyrna, TN. November 14, 2015. 1-4pm

Recap of the t-shirt towel contest was presented by R. Schooley.
Remind members to think about BOD nominations that will take place starting in November. Elections will be in December.
Encourage members to think of new BOD members other than who is currently on the BOD. Need to spur new ideas and would like to see some newer members run the club for a year or two.
Q&A session for anything MTRC related.

Introduce Mr. Saltwater Tank (Mark Callahan)

MSWT introduced himself and gave some background on who he is and what he has been working on around the country.
Quarantine practices for both corals and fish was the topic of discussion.
If you do not QT it is like driving your car without insurance!
It's good to have a coral QT and a fish QT that way you can examine all of your new species coming in. Make sure the QT is its own separate system that is not tied into your existing setup. This way you can treat and examine all new species coming in. This also gives the fish and corals time to adjust and adapt to your feeding and lighting schedules.
For full details, please visit MSWT's webpage on how to purchase his QT guides.

Raffle Time!!! Congrats to our winners of the MSWT gear.
Richard Schmidt won some MSWT books/guides.
Donny Mai won the 1-hour of consultation time with MSWT.

Thank you all and we look forward to seeing you next month.
