Thinking about getting a lid for my Nuvo Fusion 20. Which one should I get? Octolid vs Clearview? Octoaquatics says they are the original makers of plastic screen tops and that anyone else making them are infringing on their intellectual property. Any truth to that? I'm hesitant to go with artfully acrylic due to their historically atrocious customer service, but don't know if things have improved recently.

I have 2 clearview lids on Red Sea tanks and would recommend them. They fit perfectly and so far have been very resilient.

FWIW I use the screen lid that comes with the IM Fusion 20 and I see no reason to replace it anytime soon. I've seen comments that it can block light, but I just don't see it on my tank with t5's.

I have a custom sized Octolid and love it. Matt was extremely responsive to e-mails and fast with creating the digital proof of the design. Lid fits perfect and I've had no complaints with it.

I have Top Lids in my Nuvo 20 and it’s very decent. Much better than the stock lid. Mine looks to be hand made to order so expect a pretty penny if you want one .

I have Octolids for my 72x24 and for my 10 gallon IM Fusion and love them. They will be custom for your tank and you can add cut outs or feeding ports where ever you want. I also have his double heater holder and it is absolutely my favorite accessory.

Thanks all. Just found out about DD jumpguard and may go with that. Much cheaper, can get it quicker and can get it with black mesh.

I only paid $70 for my nuvo fusion 20 used and couldn't bring myself to pay double that just for a lid.

I have both. They are both great. The octolids have a hinged feeding door which is awesome. This combined with a faster build time makes him my go to for subsequent builds.

Just placed an order last week for the new Clear View Pisces EXO lid for my 425XL. Looking forward to it and ill let you know how it looks. Wish there wasnt a 10-12 week lead time though.....

It would be nice if those who say their lids are worth every penny let us know how many pennies it was worth.

Clear view has pricing on their website. Easy to figure out for your individual need.

Op, I ordered the clearview, still waiting on production (4 mo waiting list). They have been excellent with communication to ensure they have all the correct measurements.

Darn 4 month waiting list seems intense.

I'm in a similar boat with my Nuvo 30L. The older stock lid does block a bit of light. It is also very visually intrusive. I guess the DD is the cheapest option?

I purchased from Artful Acrylic and couldn't be happier with the results. Yes, the wait time was atrocious but, they did send me updates via email letting me know why it was taking so long.
