Octopulse 2 shipped - Should I be mad?

Hi All,
This is how this Reef Octopus Octopulse 2 was shipped to me from someone on ebay....with the shipping label and packaging tape stuck right to the manufacturer's box. Needless to say, I was just a tad bit upset....I guess because I wouldn't do something like that. I take care of my stuff, with the expectation to upgrade oneday, and having the original box in good condition helps when it comes time to sell. Not to mention the security aspect. IMO the sender should have just put "please steal me" on the box. Luckily, I live in a descent neighborhood, with honest delivery people.
....But I am curious to hear your thoughts. How would you feel if someone shipped reefing equipment to you like this? Also, would you ship an item to someone like this?

I’m a box keeper too...the packing label like that is lousy. I guess they thought they could save a few bucks by not buying a shipping box. For what it’s worth, I get new items from amazon and eBay that are shipped the same way.

I'm an odd ball, for a package like that I'd have wrapped in plain brown paper to ship it's more of an old school method one but works to both save cost/supplies and keep the package discreet and intact. I also save boxes but have received some like that lately.

Yeah, me too. I too would have at least wrapped it.

I have started to see that more and more on Amazon too. I also keep boxes and don't like it.

boxes....well i keep most all of my product boxes but they are for storage of a product, not to be on display. So as long as the box does what it is meant to do, store things, and isnt all beat up then a mailing label isnt going to bother me. I typically dont keep the plain cardboard boxes things get shipped in, they get recycled. so sometimes i wouldnt mind just the product box. One less step for me and the shipper as well.

People who steal packages will steal them whether they are in a brown box or just a product box, they dont discriminate.
