octopus 110sss trouble

need some help from the Reef2Reef experts.

I'm setting up a 40 Breeder with an octopus 110sss. I'm getting ridiculous bubbles out the output. See the video.
I've taken it completely apart and put it back together several time. I'd don't see anything mechanically wrong from what I can tell.

I've had it Avery depth from 7 inches to 8 1/2 that it is at now. no change to the out put of bubbles.

What am I missing? Any help is appreciated!!

no. I picked it up second hand.

I can't view the video at the moment, but all skimmers will foam and bubble excessively for probably the first week (and after any thorough maintenance and cleaning). If you have an outlet on the container cup you could just run a tube into the tank until it settles down.
