Octopus Classic HOB 1000 help

i just bought a brand new classic hob 1000, and installed as instructions. Also, watched few videos on YouTube about it, however, it overflows every time I plugged in the power. It doesn't give whole lots of bubbles. I own a hob 2000, so I know this is some kinda weird unit. It runs off an octopus aquatrance 1000s pump. Thanks for you inputs.

Your skimmer needs to break in just keep emptying the cup until it stops filling up so fast. It will slow down.

Does it have a sponge in it? If it does remove it.

I removed the sponge and it works like a champs. I did not know why. My other 2000 one I never put the sponge in. Away, thanks guys for your help.
