Octopus Hummelincki pictures

Wow, I can't believe these pictures are 1 year old already... today!

Now you guys can have something to look at in this forum .

These are of my Octopus Hummelincki. I ordered him from saltwaterfish.com last year and he lasted about 3 weeks. He was an adult male and developed an infection that took out both of his eyes just before he died.

amazing i would love to keep one but alass not a big enough tank lol and i dont quit think im ready to be getting one lol no need for it to suffer.

I think they are great cause they are so intelligent but they are so short lived...you get really attached to them and then they are gone. I had mine for almost 9 months before he died. I used to give him plastic baby toys to play with....he especially liked the ring with the plastic keys....

Thanks for sharing. We would feed ours baby blue crabs less the pinchers of course and that was a show to watch. But like it was said before ours died from an infection behind the eyes after lasting 8 months.

This is one of the most rediculous things I've ever read... are you kidding me?

Better to experience then not to...?

Do a lot of research and reading on cephalopods to see if you're up to putting in the care they require.

The kind of mindset you posted with is a main reason so many people (outside of the hobby) hate us for what we do, and we must hold higher standards for the animals we keep. Read my signature.
