Octopus Neck Cleaner on a Bubble King Skimmer

Well the title say it all. I am setting up a new tank (overseas for me / in Turkey) and I bought a bubble king 200 double co e skimmer. I love it, but now I think I want a auto neck cleaner again. On a prior tank I had a reef octopus skimmer and neck cleaner and it really seemed to help me. Now I am looking at neck cleaners again and the Reef Octopus’ seem like the best choice.

Will this work. When I get home I plan to start measuring and see if there is one who’s size is close. I am willing to modify the squegy if needed. Heck I could even modify the lid if needed.

I bet the reef octopus will work if you get it sized correctly. You probably are aware that bubble king has a neck cleaner that is made for it, the aquadriver (but just wanted to make sure). It’s pricey but I’ve been very happy with it. Main benefit is it is very low profile.

Thank you for the first hand recommendation. I did see a video on the aquadriver, but at first glance the price scared me away. I may need to reconsider it.

I use a reef octopus neck cleaner on my Bubble King Double Cone 200 Skimmer. I used to use it on a different brand of skimmer and already had it when I upgraded to the Bubble King skimmer. It works quite well and I likely wont change it since I have it. If I was starting over, or if my neck cleaner failed, I probably would choose the lower profile aquadriver.

Avast Marine also make a 'universal' model. I think the aquadriver wash down feature is very nice. Otherwise a squeegee is mostly just a squeegee.
