octopus pump upgrade

I am planning on buying a new pump for my nwb150 i was looking at the bubble blaster hy-3000 or the hy-5000. will either be to much for the skimmer the stock pump does 500gph supposedely. 400gph for the hy 3000 and 600gph for the hy 5000.

has anyone on here used either on this skimmer body.

I run a 3000 but not on that skimmer. With such a specific question, you might be better with shooting CoralVue an email or post in their forum on R2R to see if they'll answer you quickly. I know Jeremy at CoralVue is superb to work with.

good thing i asked the question as both are way to big. I was told the bb pump for my skimmer would be the hy-2000 turning it into basically a sro2000
