Forgot to mention that I just turned lights on after about 1 1/2 hours off so that is why it’s deflated. Just noticed this now that it has been receding in that one area.Looks like its on its way out. Try dipping and check your parameters. Doesn't look too good though.
Dipped it, will hopefully have time to check parameters. Had this one for over a year now, other lps seem to be doing fine. Seems like in this tank lps stay for a while then randomly have problems.Update?
Would this be good? https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/lugol-s-solution-advanced-iodine-brightwell-aquatics.htmlYou can try dipping the coral in a Furan and Iodine. After that low flow and watch for Brown Jelly Disease...
Yes that is the most common iodine solution out there. Never used Iodine before but I know its some powerful stuff. And as for your coral, from my experience once my euphiylla look like that, they are almost always goners. But you might as well try.Bump
I like to take tank water and put into a small tub. Drop enough iodine so that the water turns almost orangish brown. Dip for about 2-3 mins while swirling some water around using a turkey baster or pipette. Then dip in another tub of clean tank water and place back into tank. How many drops of iodine should I add to about half a gallon of saltwater?
Thanks! Will be doing this tomorrowI like to take tank water and put into a small tub. Drop enough iodine so that the water turns almost orangish brown. FYI - the ratio of iodine to tank water is not known. Just need to go off of color. Too little and it won’t kill the bacteria present. Too much and it won’t hurt the coral IME.
