Hello,
I've had this odd brown alge or something growing on the back of my tank for a while now. (Maybe 2 or 3 months).
It's never grown on rock only the back acrylic and probobly my glass but I do clean the glass. I don't clean the back much though. It has air bubbles on it but not in it. It's not cyano because I just treated for cyano and it stayed. It dosnt care about the flow. The back there as pretty decent flow.
Nitrates are currently 4.
So what is it and how can I get rid of it?
(My turbos haven't eaten it but I don't see my turbos much at all. My foxface dosnt eat it ether. I also have the thing of I've never seen green hair algae only a bit of green. But that is probobly something to do with my cuc.cut.

It's also not really "slimey" as when I try to rub/scrape it it only comes off in the area I rub/scrape.

@taricha, Chrysophytes?

Looks quite minor to me.
Scrape off and pull it out.
Keep everything stable and in the “normal” bands.
Give it another 5 months.
Looking nice IMM.
Stability is king!

I say the same thing!
I don't change anything about the tank other than the addition of corals and fish along with a few upgrades.
I even have a purple LTA in there.

Can't see it sadly becuse it moved across the tank yesterday to behind the pillar. I was gone for a week came home. Went into my bedroom amd turned on a big light and it scared the thing. :/
