I bought a small bubble tip at a Pet smart for 40 bucks. Went through the acclimatization and placed it on top of a rock near the bottom of my tank. It grabbed onto the rock very quickly and my fish mostly ignored it. about an hour later it was between two rocks stayed there for two weeks and completely disappeared for a month and a week. This morning I see it on the side of the rock I had placed it on. I thought it was dead. Has anyone had this happen?

I have before. Do you have clowns and if so how large. I have a very large maroon and I have seen her damage my smaller btas so they go behind a rock to protect themselves is my opinion. They could also be hunting as well.

I have a mated pair of clowns. I have not seen them really mess with it but that just means I didn't see it. I was hoping it would grow into the tank and eventually be hosted.

Seems all just normal BTA stuff....he walks where he wants until comfy.
Best to just let him be.
It took 6 months for these clowns to drop into the BTA.
