This bright red spot appeared randomly on my rocks after I got back from a long weekend. What is it? Should I be concerned. Thank you!

It looks like Coralline algae starting. Mine does that when it gets exposed to air for a few minutes. I've seen it so that when it microbubbles from the skimmer in the tank for a couple of days as well.

I am assuming you are referring to the multiple spots that look pink in the pictures?

Yeah specifically the one that is glowing in the blue light. I assumed it was coralline algae, but I never saw it glow like that. Thank you

Yeah, mine often gets super bright when exposed to air for a few minutes. If I pull a frag plug out to reglue a frag or something, once I put the plug back in it glows pink for a day or two.

yep. a section of damaged coralline algae will show that change.
