Odd Hermit Crab Action?

Hey everyone, so about a week ago I got 3 hermit crabs, 2 scarlets and 1 blue legged. I noticed today the the blue legged was out of its shell and sitting in a crack in the rock next to his shell. Should I be concerned about this or is he just molting? Thanks!

Without its shell hermits are vulnerable , i think it may have gotten confused or the shell is too small have you got some empty shells in the tank? also hermit moults look nearly identical to the live hermit, is it definitely not in his shell?

I agree. They need larger shells to move into and they seem to like the biggest shell available. The molts have confused me at some times, when I first look it appears that something tore them apart.
