Well people that are smarter than me, here yet. Not quite sure what it is or where it is coming from, it is growing in the shadows beneath the rocks. My best guess is clove polyp from the other side of the rock 2' away growing under and out the other side. No idea!

Seems never ending, or should I say the more you do to improve the more you have to do

Just don't want it growing over everything

Shouldn't do that. They typically only grow on the underside of rocks. It's not really invasive. You really should be fine. I'd consider it a positive, actually...

As a filter feeder it should help with water quality. Just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't go south. Some types can give off toxins if they buy the farm. Overall, though, sponges are a good sign that ur doing things right. I have no idea of the genus of this one.

There is a lot of things we will begin to see in a mature tank, things can be considered pests but are more just the ebb and flow of a good healthy reef. Vermetids, sponges, bristleworms, sometimes they aren’t pretty but they have a purpose in there and it’s all a part of a beautiful ending.

I can let you know that in all those pictures all I can see is a blue damsel also know as Chrysiptera cyanea :cool::cool:
