I have been cycling my tank for 2 months now and all is great and ready to start adding livestock, well after looking more at it I don't think I have enough sand. So what kind of issues would I have if I added a bag or two of Live sand? (the stuff you get at the fish store)

The odd part of the question is I want to have a deeper sand bed in the frt and sides so I can watch the little creatures and stuff live there life in the sand.

Im intrigued by snails, shrimp, worms and other inverts that live in the sand.

So would it be ok to add a thick layer of sand to just the frt and side viewing area so I can stare at it and watch what goes on in the sand?

Yes it's ok specifically bc the tank was cycling and not with bioload, waste producers in place where added sand would be capping off waste.

Our sandbeds don't rid themselves of accumulations, we need to clean them one way or another

Buy those animals you want from places like algen that sell live cultures.

Does this algen place have a website?
