My parents have some trumpet corals that have been growing weirdly, they seem very “swollen” in some areas and have these masses of tissue. I noticed today that one of these “masses” seems to have burst? You can see the skeleton and there’s tissue swaying in the current around the hole. Not sure what causes this or if it’s normal? I have a frag from this coral in my tank and it’s never looked like this.
