So in the pics you will see my flow patterns (orange) flow is great in these areas, but flow is low in the red triangle area. I have corner overflows so i can not attach a typical wavemaker Here. And I have no rock touching any tank wall. I'm wanting strong circular flow all around the base of my reef. How can I add a small wave maker here? Any ideas.

Nice tank first.

I would look to change your inlet attachment heads first, to maybe a double head or a RFG.

Seems to me most tanks have at least one dead spot, at least yours is out the way, changing too much might cause other issues.

If you haven’t tried running the OGC mode with your gyres I recommend it. If that doesn’t work you could try moving the gyres off of center slightly so the current has an outside stream that can make it all the way across and maybe go down that return wall. Just a thought without adding equipment

thanks for the compliment. a yes that low flow area is in the best possible place. have not found a OGC mode yet, im running duel wifi icecap 4k gyres controlled with the app. is that a custom mode ( i have to make)

what do you think if I move my return outlet by adding another 90 elbows to my return line, followed by a 1'-6" length of pvc, then reattaching my modular hoses return outlet at the end of that, since its flexible I would use black PVC, which would get the return moving the water at the bottom of the tank like I want,

just not sure how well hidden it would be to the eye, even if its black and in the corner of the overflow and glass.

or I was considering just adding some shrooms or some low flow required corals. the green ones i got there seem to like it, any recommendations on that? it's on my fish room side so no one really sees it other than me when cleaning and such, even then I have to remove the removable background to see the back of the tank.

I would go the low flow coral route.

Personally I would leave it, your tank seems very happy as it is, changing things for a hidden dead spot is something I would not attempt.

Least this way you know where the detritus collects, easy enough to suck it up, instead of it being spread out over the tank.

What’s worst a hidden dead spot or extra pipe work in the tank.

Oops didn’t see they were icecaps.

I like the suggestions of different low flow corals. Gives you some more options
