Bought this unit off eBay for $299 shipped. It’s a 1/10HP chiller. I find the quality to be well built. My only complaint is the instructions is in Chinese, but using google translate I got it to chinglish, LOL. There’s basically 3 adjustments.
1. Low temp aka turn off temp.
2. High temp aka turn on temp, by adding how many degrees to low temp for unit to trigger on.
3. Measured temp to actual water temp. So the correction factor.
After interpreting the chinglish and figuring this out I finally got it running. This thing is absolutely inaudible. I’m sitting right beside it and I still can’t hear it, but using a thermometer, I see the exit water temperature dropping quickly. I would definitely buy this again. I had a JBJ equivalent before, those run about $600 now. The JBJ hose connector broke off and is made of a more brittle plastic. This unit has a more sturdy plastic connection. This unit is also titanium coils and is built fir salt water applications too.
