Office Tank

Hey guys. I’ve been doing some reading but curious as to your guys thoughts. I have an office aquarium and I think I am mainly interested in being able to know if there is a power outage while I am out of the office. Is there anything y’all would recommend? I’ve read some reviews on apex some are positive and others not so much with connectivity issues etc. I’ve never had an apex before so I’m not sure how common or uncommon some of those issues might be or if there is another monitoring system y’all would recommend. I live in south Florida and am terrified of losing power due to the storms we experience, especially since I'm in an apartment. What I ended up buying was a large battery powered back-up air pump off of Amazon.

Specifically I bought the AquaMiracle Lithium Battery Powered Portable Aquarium Air Pump, it supports up to 120 gallons. It's like 23 bucks I think. This thing will kick on as soon as it senses that the outlet it's plug into has lost power. One day a few weeks ago I came home after work to find that my building lost power since it was storming all day and that pump was already on and working. It's also rechargeable.

Other than that, I don't know what else you can really do other than have frozen water bottles to help maintain the temp of the tank but if you're not there that's going to be difficult. Hopefully others will chime in and give other ideas.
