This tank is a Planet Aquarium Crystaline 65 which originally sat in my living room to house corals and Yellow Head Jawfish for my wife. I decided to narrow my aquariums from four to three. So this tank was moved to my office and the corals from my old office tank along with some that where in this tank where combined. The fish are a pair of Golden Angels and one Blue Spot Jawfish. Filtration is old school wet dry with bio balls that replaced the original sump with a filter sock. The sump contains chaeto and mangroves in the wetdry with a LED Par light. Main lighting is two 20K XB BML leds set at 70%, and one BML XB Actinic set at 60%. PAR levels average 250 to less than 100. One MP10, and a Rio 2100 provide the flow. A RKL is used to control Lights and Heater. Nitrates are less than 5ppm, water changes are done every two weeks. The LPS and GSP have been fragged from my other tanks along with some of the SPS. Ten of the SPS frags came from Farmer Ty. The great part about getting frags from Ty is I tell him I need easy to grow, never die corals and he sells them to me, that or trade out for a small regal angelfish. When it comes to my tanks I like when they take care of themselves and why I like softies along with LPS and Sps. Some talk about “KISS”, I just call it “LAZY”. FYI the large teal green with blue tips SPS started as a two inch frag and can grow well in a PAR reading as low as 70.
