Thank you. I had BJD on a hammer a few years ago, but this has not shown any signs of BJD. Since I posted that, I've lost 2 more. Also, I'm one of those obsessive people who test everyday. My Alk stays between 10 and 12, my Ca is 460, my Mg is 1360, nitrates 5-10, Sg 1.025, pH 8-8.1. I use both Seachem and Red Sea test kits. I have 6 tanks and this one is the only one that I ever have any problems with.

Okay thanks.. How big do you think I should let them get.. My cousin said wait until they are at least 3 inches long.. Does that sound right?

You could probably frag them a little smaller if it is doing good and your system is stable, but I wouldn't cut anything off shorter that and 1.5". However the bigger the better the chances. Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

I've used both on euphyllias. I actually prefer cutters myself such as these. BRS SPS Coral Bone Cutter - Bulk Reef Supply
You can use either though. Just be careful with the dremel if you choose to do that. Its easy to cut flesh of parts you don't want accidently. Most euphyllia skeletons are kinda soft.
