Official Kessil Lighting Lit Reef Tank Thread

hey guys I have been trying to look online for reef tanks that are useing kessil lights to grow corals.
I've seen a few, let's see your kessils on your aquariums

A360we on a tank 2 years 4 months the growth isn't as good as with my T5s but it does the trick

Yeah I've seen a lot of people still like the t5 over led and MH as the best but not for cost or heat.
I like t5s also but I do like the cost effectiveness of leds

A friend of mine has been running a A360 above a frag tank for over a year with fantastic results. All of his z & p's, LPS and SPS frags are insanely colored and growing swiftly. The SPS will encrust and grow faster than under my 150w HM 20k lamp with the same coral frags. He just recently swapped lighting. He had 8 T5, 4 of which were overdriven. He removed the standard T5's and added 3 A360we's. His display looks amazing! He hasn't missed a single beat as far as color or growth in the swap. It's been about two months this far. Looking at swapping out my ATI PM 10x54w fixture for 6 T5's and 2 A360we's soon. I'll see if he has a photo I can post.

My tank is 48 " x 30 " x 20"h, lights are about 9" from water surface ramped up and down for 13hrs peaking 42% for 3 hrs mid day

Yeah I would like to see a picture along with a lighting schedule if he's got one. Does he run an apex or other controller for the lights?

What kind of growth is everyone getting with the Kessils? I'm working on a frag tank, Nuvo 20, and have a A160W Tuna Blue I want to put on it but not sure about the kind of growth I would get with it. I also have a Maxspect R420R 60W, so I'm trying to determine the best options between the 2 for good growth in my frag tank. 90% of frags will be SPS.

I'm less than 2 years in with mostly LPS/softies and prior to my move, I had several small SPS colonies (lost them during relocation). I have experienced great growth on everything under my Kessils. I've posted in a few other Kessil threads that my only complaints are shadowing, the lack of a true sunrise / sunset (because they shut off at 12% on Apex) and a minor issue with getting a color I REALLY like, I find it either too blue or too white, but I think that is just due to my years of MH/T5. So it's just nitpicking.
