Ogles Mesoscope wanted

I have one but I use it to watch my corals and study their processes. The D-D H2Ocean Nanoscope is very similar and I would try that if I didn't already have mine. http://www.theaquariumsolution.com/d-d-nanoscope

Interesting!

Just for comparison, do you think a high-powered magnifying glass (40x) would be just about as good, or do you think the scope format is especially useful in some ways?

Please elaborate. Never seen anything exactly like this. :)

This works more like a microscope. The Ogles has a suction cup so once in place you can look closely with out movement. Plus with it stuck to the tank you can get a very steady view of the coral. I use it at club meetings so people can view the corals in a members tank. Always very interesting to see corals close you.

@reefwiser
I’m trying to find a mesoscope for my boyfriend and I’m failing miserably. Could you tell me what a Mesoscope does that the Nanoscope doesn’t? I’m hesitant to purchase the Nanoscope if it won’t perform the functions he’s looking for.
Thanks so much! (I know absolutely nothing about this stuff).

The Mesoscope is just a fancy name for a microscope that mounts to the glass of your aquarium so you can view your corals up close.
The D&D unit is very similar to the Mesoscope I have. It’s great for looking closely for pest’s or just enjoying looking at the corals.

Thank you very much for replying so quickly! Are there any functions the Mesoscope has that the Nanoscope does not?
