hard to tell from the photos...might be flukes....do a freshwater bath and see if they fall off....if not, I am thinking Lymphocytosis (spelling?), but not in the "typical" place to find it.

That looks more like an injury to me. He looks to be in QT... anything else in there with him? If not, is it possible you didn't notice this when he was purchased?
He's in the sump for my DT with my coral frag rack. Been there about 2 months, waiting to put him in the DT last because he's the biggest fish.
I was moving some frags around yesterday, and it is possible that somehow while it was trying to hide or threaten me it scraped against the egg crate. He wasn't really that active while I had my hands in the tank though. I didn't notice anything yesterday after I was disturbing him, but I noticed it this morning. I'm hoping it is too much of a coincidence, and that you're right.
Should I try and give him an acriflavin bath at this point? I could also check for flukes with a FW dip while I am at it. With all of the discussion in the other threads I've been on lately, I'm ready to panic and imagine that my entire DT is contaminated ....

Honestly, I would just wait & see what happens with it. A foxface is highly unlikely to get an infection due to their thick mucous coat. If the spots start crawling over the fish, it is flukes and the entire tank needs to be treated with Prazipro. I doubt it is flukes, though.
I agree, it looks more like a scrape or injury than a parasite. Hopefully it will heal up for you without issue

Agree again -- probably an injury and nothing to worry about so long as it doesn't move.
If it turns red or grows in size, you'll want kanaplex, furan 2, metroplex, and acriflavin for a dip.
I'd recommend you have these on hand for infections anyway, whether they're needed right now or not

No change in the fish today. Since it is in my frag tank, and I had my hands in that tank, I suspect it scraped against something while it was trying to intimidate me. Would it also look like this if it was hit by a torch?

I have quite a bit of all of these on hand now, along with methylene blue, erythromycin, and copper. Still trying to get my hands on CP! Sadly, I have been having to use meds a lot lately, on other specimens in other QT tanks. I've been trying to finish stocking my DT, and since the last several fish have come in with issues that showed in QT, I feel like I am running more of a hospital than a reef tank. But, that comes with the turf, so no complaints here.
I am grateful for all of the helpful suggestions I have been getting. I'm learning, which is one of the great things about this "hobby"!
