did you ever find and indication as to why your clam jumped? my zebra max. did the same thing by jumping off its perch and leaving its foot behind. it is still alive after a month. when i looked closer i found pyramid snails in between the scutes, still finding them to this day and trying to pick them off whenever i see them.
