It's not the end of the world. I had them and thought I was done too. I actually enjoyed beating them, I wasn't going out like that.

All my SPS are mounted; no removing them to dip short of cutting every piece out. I think I'd have to literally start over - a second system. Nah. I'd be totally upside down in the energy:enjoyment ratio.
