Give give us some clues on what going on with your tank, parameters, lighting, any dose, salt you are using

Remember your shrooms do not like the water super clean. So water parameters would be a lot of help.

Assuming your parameters are within reason, loosing color is usually an indication of too much light. Moving it down to the bottom is probably your best bet at this time. If the color continues to fade, then you might have to look elsewhere for a solution. (double check your parameters) GL.

I'm using redsea pro salt.. I can't get my p.h. over 7.8, and my nitrates are near 50. Kessil 360we. I am dosing brightwell microbac, redsea nopox, brightwell reef snow everyotherday. I've tried spot feeding this guy but he doesn't close up to eat like my other shrooms

What kind of lights? Timing? Intensity? Also parameters: nitrate, phosphate, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, pH, specific gravity, temperature? Also, what test kits are you using? Not that the brand of the test kit is that important but there have been statements issued by some manufacturers that their testing kit was not working properly, so just wanna check and make sure it isn't a bad batch. There will be many more questions, but this is a good start to establish baseline for your system.

how are you measuring pH? different times of the day? what's the average pH? That can at least tell you if there is decay or something that was dying in your system. That low a pH can cause problems, not as much with a mushroom, but can still hurt. Sounds like you are OK on a lot of fronts, and way off on some others. Sump? why are you dosing MB7? Is the tank new? In that case, how old is your tank? How long have you been dosing nopox? what are your nutrient export mechanisms besides water changes? OK, enough of the Spanish Inquisition... LOL

It's a jbj 29 cube I have ano aquamaxx hob skimmer been dosing nopox since Dec which is when I started the tank.. I add the microbac cause I was told by lfs it would help lower nitrates

When all else fails try some amino acids , when my zoas or shrooms not opening up for a day or two I put a little aa the nitrates go up slightly and they open up . But there could be other reasons it's bleaching .

Ok cool, so lighting is good, but what intensity do you have the Kessil up to? Also, what is your color balance set to?

Yeah, MB7 is pretty good actually, but you don't need MB7 on a continual basis, just to help your tank get going. Ultimately, the bacteria in a bottle will help in the battle against nitrates, but not THAT well.. I haven't ever used nopox, so can't help with dosing of that, but I would think that nopox should be dosed every day. How long ago did you start the nopox? Can you test for phosphates? That would tell a lot as well.
Man, sorry to be so long-winded, but it really helps. I am really of the opinion that the issue with the mushroom is that your light is too bright which is making some corals bleach, or at least reducing their color.
Don't worry about the other parameters, but look up Redfield Ratio to understand why you need phosphates in order to reduce nitrates.
So a coral losing its' coloration, bleaching, even just washed out, is a big sign that the coral isn't happy with their zooxanthellae and that they are being kicked out of the host coral. Try dialing the intensity back a bit, and try to get the mushroom into some shade to see how it helps.. Could also be that your water is too nitrate and phosphate free to support life, but in your case, that can be ruled out...
Make sure you get a phosphate test kit from your LFS, and tell 'em you want it free, since they made money on your for the last few months...

You must cup feed this animal to correct it

At night set inverted creatively weighted cup over animal inject with finest frozen anemone feed money can buy, aka blenderized mysis, not whole, but blenderized, + whatever other feed frozen all blenderized.

If you inject this feed into the inverted cup so he's nitrogen positive again that'll stop. Remove cup after ten mins or so maybe twenty, experiment. Cut one flow slit possibly, he's nitrogen negative. Sustain for one month, or forever if you want to grow the most profitable anemone you might let me buy a tiny frag of one day mighty discount should this technique color that baby up by July and produce one frag buddy

Ha!!

@brandon429 if I recall correctly you live close enough to me I will hit you up for a frag next.
