What is wrong with this thing? I tried a calcium reactor because I'm super old school and wanted to start adding them to the tanks here. The effluent coming out of the reactor smells like rotten eggs. Everyone knows WHY it smells like rotten eggs, but I'm wondering how?
Also if the water has gone stagnant the next answer is we use AquaForest. This is a full blown SPS tank with about 100 frags in it. Since there's a monitor on the reactor made to shut the CO2 off if the pH drops below 6.5 in the reactor, if the water went stagnant due to not enough turnover, that would PROBABLY mean AquaForest has an amazing buffer capacity if it doesn't need the reactor media to maintain those levels. Every time I test this tank the calcium is between 430-460.
