Oily sheen?

Noob question 9482. There seems to be a slight oily sheen on top of my tank. That can't be good is it? IM Nuvo 20. 2.5 months old. Ghost Skimmer, carbon reactor. Any idea why this is? My lightly stocked inhabitants do not seem to mind it.....

So redirect my flow pumps upward?

yup. I used to get it from the food and what not. Raised my MP40 to get more surface agitation and its gone. Direct something to break the surface but not splash and you will be fine.

It's almost like I had this exact thing happen when I set up my 110 lol. Didn't realize I didn't put the wavemaker up yet. Glad I saw the sheen and made the change.
