Ok my I have a mix of sps and LPS in my tank, I cant find the proper placement of my 2 Jebao WP25 powerheads.

Questions

1. What is the standard rule of thumb for flow? Ive always been told you need 3 times your tank volume for SPS
2. Placement, I cant get it right Ive tried it every way that I can and It just seems nothing is happy.
3. The WP25 is 8000LPH which is right around 2100 GPH , would maybe going to just one be more benficial.
4. My return pump is putting about 600 GPH in the tank (i normally dont count this.)

What would you do?

Getting LPS happy in a SPS tank can be quite a challenge. I only have a few spots in my tank to place LPS, otherwise they get hit with too much flow. You can always try just one powerhead and see how it works. I personally like taking 2 powerheads and aiming them at each other to get some random flow. GL.

I put my pumps low pointed upwards.
This allowed for low flow around the bottom of the tank.
LPS are all on the bottom and sps are more top side with a few at the bottom....
