I havent really decided on what light I want to run yet. Majority if lights I see are made to be hung from the ceiling. I know my wife and I know that hanging from the ceiling is out of the question. The tank is a 36 gal bow. I'm thinking of going with a mars aqua but I need to figure out a way to mount the light. I've debated on doing to some bent conduit painted black down to the stand but I think my wife will have an issue with it. I got a strong feeling that she will probably want something that is either sitting or mounted to the tank some way. Does anyone have any ideas? If need be I can post a good picture of the setup later.

I have found a kessil a80. Would one be enough for a 36gal bow front?

Or what would be a good light to use. I just hate to have to buy 2 lights for my set up. I really would prefer to use leds over anything else?

Or is anyone selling something that will work?

We need a bit more info to help with some suggestions. What length and depth is the tank, type of corals and budget. A fish only tank will not need very strong lighting as compared to a mixed tank or an SPS tank.

It's a 30 long 18 deep bow front. I dont plan on any advanced corals. Thinking just some softies and lps.
I ended up finding a prime JD last night in sale for a 100 so I picked it up. I figured if it isnt enough I can grab a second later down the road? Hope that decision dont bite me later down the road

At first you can just settle your corals towards the middle as a Prime has an effective spread of about 18-20 inches. Later on pick up a second and then even them out at about 1/3 and 2/3 distant to cover the sides. If you search on BRSs videos there is a video about the Primes on an SPS tank and I think they recommended them for not more than LPS as you plan to do.
