OK New Frags, Now What?

I researched the heck out of when and how to add LPS and SPS corals. Got them in, and all looks good. Then, the uh oh moment that I remember when getting my newborn child home. Now what?

I am imagining that addition of a bunch of frags will start drawing down alk and calcium faster. I imagine needing to test more frequently to monitor this. Any other things I should be doing for my new babies? Tried searching for topics, but everything seems to stop once you get the plugs in.

Yep, test more. If you start seeing consumption greater than what a water change can fix start dosing. Little frags won't consume much initially.
Least that's my understanding of things.

No need to panic! What size tank? lighting? Unless it is very small, it will likely be at least several months before you need to think about dosing. Just check your parameters - and weekly is fine for now - and keep up with regular water changes.

125 gallon plus Trigger 30 sump. AL T5 hybeid with 3 AI Peimes.

How many is a "bunch" of frags? When I first added frags to my 120DT/40 sump system I got them at a local frag swap and maybe went a bit overboard. I added ~20 SPS frags that day. It was at least 6 months before I even had to think about dosing, and then did it by hand for another several months before I finally started using dosing pumps.
