I also have a green killing machine rated for my tank, and it really clears the water up. Don't like how your supposed to get the U.V. part of it every 6 months though. If you are going to get a cheap one their not bad. You could dose ammonia if there is no fish in there it would take a few days though, or look at stump killer its 99.99% potassium nitrate.
