My Nitrate is 25-50 ppm and Phosphate is a sky high 1.0. I've been dosing Vibrant for about 6 weeks and it's done great things for getting rid of various troublesome algae, but I want to get my nitrate and phosphate down. Carbon dosing seems like the natural solution. Will carbon dosing mess with the Vibrant or the results of the Vibrant?

Maybe a 20-25% water change can help out as well.

Vibrant is a great product as long as you go slow with it and have patience.

Oh, I agree. It’s made great progress on my algae. But I don’t think it is designed to do anything for nitrate or phosphate. Or at least that is my understanding.

Vibrant is safe with carbon dosing. I’ve done it countless times in the past.

Water changes are the way to go with this.

Also, use GFO.

Yup, carbon dosing two years now, Vibrant at 5 weeks.
No problems yet.
