tankmedia baskets..refuge and filters with,,,filter floss .foam in the middle and chemi pure elite in the bottom
biospira to start the tank with
oceans blend..calcium/part 1 and ph/alkalinity part 2
saltwater master test kit
one digital timer so far
pro therm digital thermometer
i think im ready to get the sand live rock and water now..and start the chaeto after the tank has cycled..any advice,ideas,thoughts..im new and am learning a little bit each day,,.cant wait to get this tank goin!
i was going to add pics but it said the files were too large so im not dealing with than now lol..but i will have pics soon..thank you!

Get your own RO/DI unit if you can. It is a huge plus to have one! You will also want to get Calcium, Alkalinity, and Magnesium test kits which aren't included in the master kit I believe.

Why are you going to put chaeto in there after the cycle?

thank you..i asked the question on another post i think and i had 2 replies that said i should wait till its done cycling before i put chaeto in..should i put it when i start the tank up?

I think you can put chaeto in before the cycle. It just won't have much to absorb as far as nitrates until the end of your cycle. It might not really grow well either until your cycle is over but it's definitely ok I think to put it in before the cycle is done.

Remember to only use RO/DI water only.
Best to get your own unit. Safe alot of time, money and hassle. Will need some for water changes and top offs. Best investment.
Also replace any mechanical filtration often
And don't dose if you aren't testing for it.

Now let's start cycling.
