So here's the story. Had a 20 gallon tall setup for over a year and have upgraded transferred 50% of the rock and got some new as well. And kept all old equipment and skimmer etc etc all running in the 20t switched lights but that should be too different..
So my dilemma is I had put in a anemone after a couple weeks of it running with that much less rock and such to kind of cycle it. Also had a frogspawn in their the whole time.
I noticed the frogspawn and anemone terribly terribly closed and retreated, so I was worried and since my 50 is up and running and all my stuff is happy I brought it all into my tank except the clowns.
On thing she did was buy some dry rock and add it to the tank but all seemed fine until a day or 2 before I got the clowns I was noticing nothing was "blooming".
Is there a step she missed before adding dry rock to her currently running tank? There's lots of copepods and life roaming around but I can't figure it out. I'm debating whether to take the clowns out as well and put them in my sump then take off all the equipment and soak it in vinegar and then like reboot a bit fresher? What do you guys think? The only test I've run is salinity which is 1.026 I will test more tomorrow just wondering general info if you have any feed back. There's still 3-4 decent sized pieces of love rock that have been in there for a year
