What is the oldest coral you have owned in your tank.

Seymour Duncan got me to thinking, what is my oldest coral..

I bought that thing as a fist sized coral about 7 years ago. it was super pretty . this was 2006

then I lost 90% of it. I managed to save 1 thumb worth of it. and it re-grew into this.

Sold it and the guy who bought it lost all but a thumb worth. he managed to grwo it back and when I setup my 180, he gave me a thumb worth.

now it is back to at least fist sized and I think is way prettier than when I bought it. it now resides beneath my stag. Of all my corals, this one would like break my heart the most.

My oldest is this dendro that I picked up about 3 years ago.... Started out as a single head.... Pretty slow grower

I have a frag sinularia that was my first coral I ever owned from almost 6 years ago but I lost the colony. I just recently got a frag of it back from a local. The oldest coral I have without leaving my tanks is this Favia I got shortly after setting up my first tank.

It's about 5 1/2 years in my tanks.

My oldest would be eagle eye zoas, nothing special but what started as 5 polyps has become 300+, but about the same age is some red monti cap that I picked up an inch piece for $5 nearly a year ago and is now the size of 3 softballs easily.

This bi-color frogspawn is my first coral. Five years old now. It doesn't branch, it just gets bigger around. About the size of a cantaloupe. I'm sure it would be larger if I hadn't almost killed it several times, but it always seems to make it.

Darn could have sworn that first picture had the original frag in it, but those were some of my other first corals too! The blue acan is massive now, along with the green lepratos(I cant spell)

Well, the tank is just a few months over 3 years, and I got a lot of the coral pretty much within weeks of each other. So, my oldest coral would be just over 3 years old.

Okay so I would like to know, where are the reef sterroids you invented, and why are you not sharing them, lol.

Frogspawn in top middle section of the tank is 12 years old!
