Hey everyone,

If you've been in the hobby long enough, you're bound to have a few corals that you kept a long time ago that are no longer around...Or maybe it's the "one that got away", that you wished you had purchased at the local frag swap 5 years ago. I was reminded of this not too long ago when we came into some frags of the "Oregon Tort", Acropora toruosa, which I haven't seen in quite a few years!

Since I'm headed to a local coral farmer's market here in So Cal this weekend, I decided I'm going to be looking for ones that may have gotten away in the past, or ones that for one reason or another, I just didn't acquire when I had the chance!

I'm kind of curious which corals you are longing for...you know the ones that you may have taken for granted a few years back, but just cannot stumble on today- or maybe the one that was scarce back then, but impossible to find now! And for that matter, what are some of the cool pieces you guys are craving now?

Thanks,

Scott Fellman

I can totally relate to both of you. I actually have a fish (Centropyge hotumatua) that I lament not purchasing..still haunts me..LOL

My old school favorite was the "Aquarium City Red" Millipora; THE absolute reddest acro I've ever seen. Haven't seen a true piece in over ten years. If you find one, I just might fly out there to get it!

Can't seem to get my hands on the LE ultimate stag. Bought one from Jason fox last year and it died a few months later.

I totally remember that one, Michael. I actually might just be able to source that one! I have a really sweet tabling one that is almost brick red, but definitely not like the AC piece! That thing was sweet!

That's a great coral. A buddy of mine had that one for a while but lost it, too...maybe it's cursed..? LOL

LOL on the Shortcake, Nick! We have another crop of frags growing out, so it will be a little bit before they're ready!

I'm friends with Greg Carroll; think I'm going to hit him up for some corals! LOL

+1

I always seem to have bad timing when it comes to the Aqua Delight. Pops up and I miss it...etc.

I miss miss my good old RDEs, basic zoa with a lot of pop. With no LFS I never seem to buy zoas anymore.
