Old gear removal

I purchased a reefer 350 used, and cleaned it out. It’s almost cycled, and ready for fish. But it has a weird back plate stuck on one side that I can’t get off for the life of me.

Is there a trick to this I don’t know about? I’m assuming it’s from a power head.

get a length of fishing line.... and work it back and forth...between it and the glass... it should help separate it.
