I bought a used mp40 wes over the weekend. The dryside is sliding down and not sticking to the wet side straight anymore. Any idea on how or where I can the dryside without replacing the controller if possible.

Have you got the sticky bad that fits under the dryside, if not you need to get one otherwise that might be why its not sticking.

They also as new come with tie raps/stickers to stop them falling off completely.

I didn't get any of that I figured the magnets would be enough lol. It was pretty heavy tbh

Most who do not follow the instructions of using the sticky pads and tie wraps find their dry side busted on the floor, sooner or later.
So you would reccomend getting the sticky pads and tie wraps

Sticky pads, not the dry side
Which sticky pads would you recommend, sorry if I'm being annoying or seem stupid I have never had an ecotech power head before and I bought it used so it didn't come with that

If you google - "self adhesive cable tie mount" you should get what you need. Small stcky block that allows a cable tie through it. Tie the wire for the Vortech above the pump so it can no longer move anywhere.

How old of an MP40.....older ones you had to adjust for glass thickness by pulling off the cover on the dry side and aligning to the glass thickness.

My mp40 has that sticker... should I remove it or is there something to it

Measure your glass thickness or ask manufacturer. Put the cap off and align with your glass thickness. Right now the picture is set for 3/8" thickness. Likely why your MP40 was sliding down..

As @NeonRabbit221B said, you need to first measure the thickness of the glass/acrylic and then set the dryside to that thickness. You do this by pulling off the "labeled" piece and align the thickness on the label to the wire going into the dryside. Note that at times I've had difficulty pulling off this base piece....and also aligning the three pins to put it back on.

Omg! Thank you I didn't know about this lol

Yeah, dumped my last old dryside last year. Getting the spacer cap on and off was a major pain. Seems clear why the whole thing was redesigned.
