I just joined the club over the weekend and I'm looking forward to meetings, frag swaps, etc.
I call myself an "Old Newbee" because I built a 75 gallon reef about 10 years ago and kinda lost interest over the years. But, I have seen the light and gotten back into it. My 75 gallon has been revived and looks very good with a lot of LPS corals. No fish in it right now as my last 10 year old clown died a while back.
My wife saw the Red Sea Max 650 in Aquatic Critter and loved it. She was sweet enough to let me buy it when I told her that a lot of the daily maintenance work could be automated when I traveled. It's up an running now. I am in the process of moving some of the selected LPS from the old tank to the new one as I plan on closing down the old one eventually. So, I may have some used equipment for sale soon if anyone might be interested. I also have a large (10 " diameter) Brain Coral, Trachyphyllia (Trachyphyllia geoffroyi) and a huge (18" diameter) Hammer / Anchor Coral (Euphyllia ancora) in the old tank. I plan to see what they look like in the larger tank as they are needing some room. I've posted a couple of photos but my photography skills are not too good with my cell phone.
I'm looking forward to adding some LPS corals into the new tank and some larger fish, like a Tang in the near future.
I am looking forward to updating my knowledge level from you guys as I progress. Glad to have some help and advice.
