Old School Skimmer?

So I am currently setting up a 70gal and was looking to run an aquamaxx em100...but recently came across an ASM G-1X for $130. I've heard many good review about how much people love their ASM but most reviews are from 2009...LOL. Any advice?
the ASM come with the Sedra 3500. Worth the savings or spend the cash?

I run the G4 and wont run another skimmer!! I recommend the gate valve mod. I have used this skimmer for about 4-5 years now. I have run others on other tanks and hated them so needless to say when I set up another tank I'm going with ASM again.
