Looks awesome. :-)

Awesome. I’m about to reboot my old biocube as well. How do you have the H80 mounted? On the back side, or over the top?

I have it mounted to the back using super strong magnets, inside a project box with a fan temperature control circuit board.

Thanks for sharing. Pretty snazzy stuff there! I think I’m going to convert my second chamber into an algae turf scrubber and use Santa Monica’s submersible LED bars. Not completely set on it yet though. How long have you been growing chaeto back there?

Of course! Thanks, I really appreciate it. It has been 8 months and it has done wonders for my nitrate levels. I was hovering around 20 ppm and now its down between 2 ppm and 5 ppm. Also, I only do a 5 gallon water change every two or three weeks depending on my schedule.

Right on. I’m still currently in the build process. I also have a ton of rock curing in a brute can for the ost 2 months. I made my biocube rimless and then created my own acrylic top for it. I’ll start a build thread when I get a bit further along in my build.

I like that! It looks very slick and clean. I wish I did my mods before I had the critters in it but I'm slowly peeling off the rtv, lol!

Peeling that stuff off was a huge pain. I could t imagine derimming the tank with it up and running. Kudos to you good sir!

Oh, I also wanted to ask...do you think you really need two AI Primes for the corals you have stocked? I was planning on using one AI Prime but if it can’t get enough PAR then I might just go to a different light altogether. Or do you think the two AI Primes are a good fit?

No actual polishing. Just spent the better part of three hours scraping away with razor blades. Then I used peroxide to clean the glass when I was finished.

Oh okay, yeah I don't think I could use the peroxide. Lol! But to answer your question about the lights, yes I think the lights are the right amount of par for the corals I have. I will use my seneye to get the exact levels for you. I forgot what they were. My corals came to life when I installed them and ran the suggest settings from ecotech's ab+ program that BRS shows in their videos. I did have two of the current usa orbit pros and their spectrum were too much white and green.

Interesting. I hope that my one will have enough light to grow some easy SPS. I guess I’ll have to give it a test and just upgrade if it’s not enough light. Thanks for sharing the info!

Of course, I tend over engineer things but I think one will be okay. I rather be able to dial back the intensity of needed.

I only have one AI Prime on my bio cube are the corals are growing like crazy. I only could use one because I still have my top on mine to keep my cat out so I ripped out the guts and drilled a hole in the center. AI sits right on top.

NICE! Did you glue that rock to the back wall? A pretty neat idea there
