Either your salt is the problem or there's a testing error. Get a second opinion on your tests first and if it concurs then switch brands of salt. What salt are you using?

My issue was I used some Instant Ocean salt instead of my normal Red Sea Blue bucket. But it was just one frag out of 10 that had the issue.

That's weird because IO has remained very consistent over the years.

I am not a fan of IO. After the first water change noticed the bucket and heater and the air stone was covered in grit. They where out of Red Sea blue bucket. IO is not welcome in by home in the future.

I'm using Kent and my testers are Salifert, they are both good.
But I think I'll change to red see or reef Cristal

I think every solid sps tank in my area runs off IO and that includes a certain store that people flock to for sticks.

Imo salt is such a small piece of the puzzle. I've changed salt so many times and I've never had a problem. I doubt a little of a certain salt will make a acro rtn, Just mo.

Actually it can.

I have been keeping acro's since 1991 and have had it happen with IO before. I have LFS in town that use better salt for their SPS systems and sell IO to customers that want cheap salt. I only know this because I can tell the difference. I only used the IO in this case because I have been working so much an I needed salt that day. I am sure I can not convince IO lovers of anything as they are a very price sensitive bunch but having worked with SPS so long I no what to look for in chemistry of a SPS system because I have made all the mistakes.

Over the past 52 years of fish keeping. It was my fault for trying IO again. I am using RS blue bucket and keeping my parameters stable and my mixing equipment clean. Such a nasty mess the bucket and heater and air-stone Need a vinegar bath to clean them up.

Great generalization there. If you knew anything about me, you would know that price is the last thing I'm worried about in this hobby.

Not even going to address the rest after that statement and the last thing we need is another salt debate.

If you aren't dosing anything then either there is an error in the tests or your salinity is very high. What is your SG and when was the toast time you checked?

My salinity is 26 or 27 a little bit high and I'm testing twic every week. But KH every night to measur it's consumption

Mg at 1650 and Ca at 580 are very high for a tank not dosing either. Honestly I think your tests are just off and the bleaching was unhappy corals for some other reason. If all you are doing is water changes, I don't know a reef salt around that would have those high levels. Is there any way you can bring a water sample to a LFS for testing to get an independent reading?

Before using Kent I was using Red Sea, it was great, I changed it to try Kent but I will buy Red-Sea for next time.
Someone told me to try http://www.reeflowers.com/#/en/home ReefLower, it has everything you need for running an Aquarium, but I didn't have any idea about it.

I changed water 5-6 hours ago and here are my test results
Mg 1740
Ca 580
Kh 7/7-8
PH 8/1
NO3 20
PO4 0/1
I added some KH buffer to increase it so Mg and Ca can be solved more easily.
What do you think? Any suggestions?
