Guys!!! It’s been months! But I finally got a decent video of that darn work thing that’s always poking out the rock at night!!! It always comes from the same spot and seems to eat the left over food which is great! I am terrified that it’s going to take out some live stock though! Any ideas what this is?

Looks like it does a back flip about half way through.

Without a decent picture of said worm. I can only guess peanut. But, that's a guess that can be dangerously wrong. If and a strong if you can see legs and antenna on the head. There might be a lot of trouble brewing up.
 
Honestly terrifying haha! Definitely not pods I don’t think? They are black in colour and a lot longer than the other pods in the tank! They definitely look like aliens!

They deffo have legs and antenna!

Can confirm there are two different things…a long antenna nose thing which I am putting down as a peanut worm after some serious googling! The dark/black coloured ‘bugs’ seem to be longer than pods and have a definite face and antenna!

they are pods... im guessing too.
You can wait for vetteguy to come in and speak tho.

But they look like titanic pods.

They sell them at my lfs...

Is the body of worm segmented? Or pretty smooth?

Are we talking about the quick flash at the beginning of the video or what on 90% of the video in between the sand and rock?

I’m pretty confident the quick flash wormy thing is nothing to worry about! It’s the dark alien bugs under the rock on the sand bed that concerned me!
