OMG! What are these things on my cerith snail?

I looked closely today at my cerith snail and noticed these livings on its shell. They are swaying back and forth. And they are all over it. It is in my refugium. Does anyone know what they are? There are alot of them in clumps packed together. They were not there yesterday..... i dont think. I certainly would have noticed them. Ive been eyeing my tank & refugium very very closely lately. Should i toss it quickly ? I did notice one of the other ceriths climbing over this one and on its shell earlier. Thats what caused me to look more closely. They are so so small, barely visible. Just look like hairs on it

You can safely take the snail out and place in a container of tank water and scrape them off with the edge of paring knife

What about maybe colonial hydroids? (Asking your opinion). I have a bunch in a tank that look similar, but are harmless.

Glad you asked. Went to my PC screen and are hydroids (will change) - Same removal

Thanks, ill try that. I only have 3 cerith snails at the moment and the others dont look like they have them. I bought them just 2 weeks ago, maybe i didnt notice them and they just multiplied. Im freaked now. Geez. Are these things gonna cause big problems?

So, do they lay eggs on the glass? Are these cerith eggs or colonial hydroid eggs? I read they send out a tiny jellyfish like egg layer that will lay eggs, but i cant find if they lay eggs on glass or what. I saw this this morning and was really hoping it was cerith eggs. Thats an manni..something . isopod on the glass near it. Just found out what those were yesterday. They are a new appearance as well

Definitely colonial hydroids and you do not want them to take hold in your tank!
