OMGosh... what is this?

Really makes me glad this is in a QT.....

I ordered a new blue starfish. It came in Wednesday. When it arrived it had a tiny ding on the end of one arm, but otherwise looked great. Last night I was getting ready to turn out all of my lights and I notice a pool of something that looks like an earthworm. I get out my baster and start sucking it up and it's coming from the end of the arm and out of the mouth. I didn't even get it all... Yuck! How do you treat an invert for this?

Well, doesn't need treatment because the starfish died the next day. But for future reference would be interested to know..

Starfish are susceptible to rotting from infection. Don't get one that's dinged especially if it's a linkia. Also the brown stuff could've been poop.

It was coming out of the wound and the mouth.. over 12" long. I thought it was a worm...
