One A360X looks brighter than the other

Recently set up 2 Kessil a360x's on my 90g mixed tank. I have it connected via their k link cable and using their x controller.

You can only really notice when the light is dim and blue but the side farthest away from the controller is brighter than the other side that is plugged directly into the controller. Am I missing something or is there a setting or calibration that needs to be done? Also, I don't have a par meter but it's pretty obvious.

If you swap which side the controller is on does the light intensity change? I don't know if the new k-link is analog or digital. If analog, maybe the cable connecting them is causing a voltage drop for some reason.

I had an issue with my initial pair. Not so much intensity, but the colors did not match when the lights were dimmed. One was very blue, the other more violet. K replaced them.

Sometimes you can rotate the array to get the colors to match (similar to a prism effect I'm guessing).

I hear what you're saying. The issue is the wires are neatly tucked into the arms. It won't allow for much rotation and you'd lose the sleakness and now see wires coming out the side of the unit as opposed to the rear which blends everything together. Sort of defeats the purpose of the set up.

I noticed it also on BRStv when they measured PAR on 2 of these lights together, one side has more PAR than the other side. Is it possible that the controllers is taking the power from the light where it is connected? Did you contact kessil and what did they say?

I picked up a pair this weekend and have the exact same issue. Right side is more of a purple hue and the left is more blue. I have a glass canopy so I can see the reflection of the lights and the LEDs look completely different. Less noticeable when they ramp up, but very annoying when at lower settings. Email sent to Kessil and will see what they say.

My 360we’s have this same issue. I replaced them with X’s. They look similar now. I’m going to reach out to kessil about the WE’s sometime this week and get them fixed for my 2nd tank.

This is interesting to hear. Some say they got replaced others sending messages to Kessil. Wonder if this is wide spread, power or cable related, or design.

Glad I found this post, I tough was just my OCD, I run 3 X's over my tank and one is a little bright but just at 2% at night time besides this everything else match.

Glad to see this thread because I was gonna get 4 360X for my 48x30x20 but I'll follow the thread to see what Kessil say first B4 I buy them.

I don't have an answer but do have a comment. Has there ever been an issue with these units' temperatures (fan failures, dirty heat sink, exposure to high humidity (almost a given). How old are these units? I just reviewed a paper that discusses factors that can cause shifts of LEDs to blue, green, yellow or red - there are various causes, and your post grabbed my attention.
