So right now I have the hipargero led's from amazon on my 20 gallon long and the only thing I don't like about it is the touch controls you can't really go back and forth with the lighting settings and its just a hassle and i don't like the metal brace that goes inside the tank I feel like it could be leaching out some bad stuff in my tank and just want to move away from this.
I was thinking about getting some new lights that I could control with my phone and be able to easily hang it from a bracket on the wall or even with the better flexible arm mounts. I do not want to spend too much $ so I was thinking about one single AI Prime 16hd just placed up high to get as much spread as possible. The tank is 30 inches long, but the height is short so PAR shouldn't be a problem depth-wise. All I want is just lps and soft corals, no sps at all so I am thinking it is fine.

Do you have any other suggestions that might work better for me?

30" might be a stretch on a single prime 16. I have a prime 16 on 24" and feel my edges lack the required par I need at 9" off the water.

Do you know of any other lights that could be around this price point that would work better?

I'm currently running 1 single hydra32hd on a 30" tank. Lights are mounted at 12" off the water and I would say that its just about right for a mixed reef. With SPS high on top right underneath the leds and LPS and softies in the middle/lower tank. If you were to have an sps dominated tank then 1 would not be sufficient.
