hi all i setup a 10 gallon tank exacctly 2 weeks ago, i bought dr tims ammonium chloride, and one and only. i used them both as directed. the problem is that my ammonia shot waay up, like all the way to the darkest color on an api test kit. so ive been reading, and checked dr tims website, it says if the ammonia levels get too high to do a water change. my question is if i do a water change is this going to affect the nitrifying bacteria that i just spent money on? or will it be fine? From what i read the one and only cant do its job if the ammonia is too high.
